Girls Camp

This past week I spent at Heber Valley Camp. We had a wonderful girls camp!! The church has spent more money on this camp than any temple built or the Conference Center. The entire camp is 8,800 acres and 8,000 feet up on the mountain. The scenery is gorgeous and the weather a bit chilly. We started on Monday and had a few meetings for the leaders so we could train on the challenge course and know what not to do. We felt like we were just running around the entire day. That night we had a great opportunity to go and participate in the unveiling of the new flag for the the newest value--Virtue. Even though we had a 5 mile hike and the rain making us wet and cold it was so neat to listen to Sister Dalton (the YW General President). During the rain someone got up to hold an umbrella for her while she talked and she told them she wasn't worried about her hair. We were able to meet her and get her to sign our Virtue flag which all the YW and leaders signed. It was such and unique experience. By the time we got back to our camp we were so cold and wet and the wind was picking up so we all ran for our cabins and really felt bad for the Priesthood who had to weather the storm in their tent.We participated in a challenge course, canoeing/paddle boats, a wonderful testimony meeting and even had frequent visitors from the wild life.

It was such a fun week.
