Day at the Park

Tuesday I took the kids to the park with some friends and they were able to play and ride bikes and I got to visit and enjoy the wonderful sunshine-i-ness. It was a win-win for everyone. While we were there Conner took my camera around snapping pictures and apparently not everyone enjoyed him doing so. . .

Soldier Hollow

We took the kids to Soldier Hollow on Monday since they had the day off. It was a ton of fun tubing down the mountain then have the lift drag you back up. It was a nice warm day although we were nice and wet due to the rain but the kids had fun.

BYU Basketball

We took the youth to a BYU basketball game last week for our activity and had a ton of fun. We were so close on tickets and actually thought we had exactly enough but I went back to my car and noticed an empty seat so Conner was the lucky recipient of the ticket. He was so cute and excited to be going and asked so many questions (that I didn't really know).

While I ran to the restroom Conner was in the safest of care with the Bishop and Young Men leaders. This is what I came out to. . .

Even though the Steelers weren't victorious last weekend we sure had a fun time celebrating.
Conner's choice of treat. We went to this fun tail gate party where the girls participated in a pie eating contest and Kamryn decided it wasn't for her after the first bite. McKenna and Kylie finished and McKenna ended up winning but about fell over when she read the pie had 410 calories. She gave her price (a fuzzy blanket) to Kylie. The party was a Macey's grocery store and they had fun bounce houses.
Face Painting...Conner of course opted for a Steelers motif. Kelsey got a butterfly. Kamryn also wanted a butterfly. The whole family participated in the donut eating on a string. Marc won but Kylie was close behind.
And since we ate so much sugar we decided to have pates of fruit for dinner...

SuperBowl Weekend

Conner has used his computer time this week to go onto ESPN and listen to any and everything to do with the Superbowl. He sits and watches what they have to say and takes notes. He has also made us homemade decorations all over the house with a huge banner that says S-t-e-e-l-e-r-s. Our door also is decked out with a "GO STEELERS" sign and "BOO PACKERS". It is so fun to see him all excited about the game. The girls and I are excited with about the snacks!!

GO STEELERS!!

Roller Skating

I thought taking the Young Women roller skating sounded like a really fun activity. It kinda popped into my head when we were in need of an activity at the last moment and I remember being told about their dollar night. Thinking I had heard it was on Wednesday we went ahead and announced the activity only to realize the dollar night was actually on Thursday. I called the wonderful Classic Skating here in Orem and they "set me up" (as I was told over the phone). I could still get all the Young Women in at the $1 price and still go on Wednesday. Happy Day!! Tell everyone you know to go to Classic Staking in Orem.

While there McKenna who had been practicing on roller blades decided she wanted to try the actual roller skates. While she was with a few friends a guy came from beind and ran into them knocking her down. She broke her arm as a result. She stayed the rest of the night and it wasn't until I was taking her home she broke down and told me she got hurt. I took her to the doctor today who then sent us to the hospital. We are waiting for the swelling to go down and will make decisions on Monday but for now she has a brace.

For what it's worth I had fun. . .

But he is so cute. . .

He might be cute but he can make a mean mess while we are away.

Sadly you are unable to see the garbage underneath the table and back in the kitchen.
