And we are off

We left for Pennsylvania early, early on a Thursday morning for the long drive across the country. The kids were so good sitting in the car all morning and when we finally stopped at a rest stop the kids were able to play for a few minutes because in Wyoming it was only 50 degrees. We then ate breakfast and lunch in the car while we drove and made great time that first day. We stayed in Kearney, Nebraska at a Holiday Inn and to our pleasant surprise it had water slides. We played in the water until it was too late for dinner and ate in our room. The kids were officially warn out and slept like little angels in our too small room until 4:30 am Friday morning when we woke up and did the same thing.
